From a well-stocked main bar and a cosy members lounge to our dance floor, stage and games areas, everything is under one roof so you can move easily from a quiet chat to a lively night out.
Most facilities are open to both members and guests, with great-value drinks and a friendly community feel.
Our main bar area is bright and modern, serving a wide range of popular beers, spirits, wines and soft drinks at club prices.
Next door, the members lounge offers a quieter space with table seating and a more relaxed feel, perfect for a chat, a game of cards or winding down after work.
When the lights go down, the heart of the club is our spacious dance floor and stage area.
We host live bands, DJs, social dances, themed party nights and more, supported by a quality sound system and colourful lighting to create a proper night-out atmosphere.
There is plenty of seating around the edge of the room, so you can rest your feet, enjoy a drink and still feel part of the action.
If you love a bit of friendly competition, you will feel right at home in our games areas.
We have a full sized snooker table, modern pool tables and well-kept darts boards, all set in comfortable surroundings with easy access to the bar.
Tables are generally available on a first-come, first-served basis, with sign-up sheets used on busier nights and for competitions.
The club also supports teams and leagues across snooker, pool and darts – ask at the bar if you are interested in joining.

We want as many people as possible to enjoy Poplar Social Club.
Step-free access is available at the main entrance, with internal access to bar, lounge, games areas and the main function room. Accessible toilets are provided on the ground floor with disabled facilities and baby change.
There is free on-site parking for members and guests, with bays close to the entrance and additional street parking nearby when we are busy.

Poplar Social Club is open several evenings each week, with later opening on live music nights, party nights and special events.
